NEW YORK, July 28, 2011 – Spring, O’Brien, a boutique marketing agency specializing in destination marketing, has been appointed by Turismo Chile, the Chilean government’s tourism board based in Santiago, to handle its marketing communications program in the United States and Canada. As the result of its participation in a competitive review, the agency was awarded the contract.
The multifaceted campaign encompasses public relations (aimed at generating in-depth print, online and broadcast coverage throughout the country), trade relations (extending Chile’s relationships with tour operators and travel agents), special events and advertising. “Chile is one of those destinations that inspires visitors with its dramatic landscapes, great food and wine and extraordinary culture. And it has come of age, offering savvy travelers adventure as well as world class hotels and life-enriching experiences. We’re thrilled to handle its communications program – and we’re confident the outcome will be more visitors from North America,” said Chris Spring, president of Spring, O’Brien.
Chile is the 21st country Spring, O’Brien has handled since its founding in 1982.
